My Experience at the Škoda Elroq Launch in Prague

Attending the Škoda Elroq launch in Prague on October 1, 2024, was an exciting glimpse into the future of electric mobility. The event was filled with energy as media, industry experts, and automotive enthusiasts gathered to witness the unveiling of Škoda’s fully electric compact SUV. The Elroq introduces the brand’s new Modern Solid design language, featuring the bold Tech-Deck Face instead of a traditional grille, giving it a sleek and futuristic look.

The Elroq comes in four versions with battery capacities ranging from 52 kWh to 77 kWh, offering up to 560 km of range. With a starting price around €33,000, it positions itself as an affordable yet innovative option in the EV market. The interior is just as impressive—spacious, minimalist, and equipped with a large touchscreen and sustainable materials, reflecting Škoda’s commitment to practical and eco-friendly driving.

Beyond the car itself, the launch was a celebration of Škoda’s shift toward sustainability and innovation, with speakers highlighting the company’s vision for more accessible electric vehicles. Engaging with other attendees, from content creators to industry professionals, made it clear that the Elroq is a highly anticipated step forward for the brand. With production already underway, the Elroq is set to hit the roads in spring 2025, and I can’t wait to see how it performs in real-world conditions.
