I’m back from an experience that left me absolutely buzzing – my time at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, courtesy of Škoda's VIP inside programme.
This year’s race was historic, kicking off outside of France for the first time in the vibrant city of Rotterdam. But what made it truly special for me was that it was all about the women. The power, determination, and sheer talent on display was nothing short of inspiring. As someone who’s always loved the mountains and outdoor adventures, stepping into the world of professional cycling – and women’s cycling at that – was a whole new thrill.
The entire experience was like being welcomed into a new family. From the moment I arrived, the other guests made me feel right at home. Many of them were seasoned cycling fans and athletes themselves, but they embraced my enthusiasm with open arms. Their warmth and passion for the sport were contagious, and by the time we were gearing up to ride the official race route, I felt like I’d found a new community. We were riding the last 38km of the stage with our expert guides and shared the excitement of this special day.
Watching the pros cross the finish line later in The Hague after experiencing a small part of what they do every day was humbling. The energy, the camaraderie, and the joy of being part of such a monumental event in women’s sports was incredible. This experience has given me a deeper appreciation for the world of cycling and the incredible women who are paving the way in this sport. I’m so grateful for the warm welcome I received and can’t wait to keep exploring this new passion. Here’s to new adventures and the amazing people who make them unforgettable!
